Terms
and Competition Rules
Membership Eligibility
Our services are not available to, and may not be used by, persons under the age of 18 years or to temporarily or indefinitely suspended
TipsterKing members. If you are under 18 years old, you can use this service only in conjunction with and under the supervision of a
parent or guardian. If you do not qualify, please do not use our services.
TipsterKing ScreenName
You must choose a ScreenName and password on completion of registration. You are responsible for all actions taken under that ScreenName
and password and shall only use or utilise the TipsterKing site using your own ScreenName and password. You must use every effort to keep
your password safe and should not disclose it to any other person. You shall not transfer or sell your account to any other person. You
shall also not permit, either directly or indirectly, any other person to utilise your ScreenName or password.
Identity verification
We use techniques to verify the accuracy of the information our users provide to us when they register on the site. However, because
user verification on the Internet is difficult, TipsterKing cannot and does not confirm the purported identity of users or the validity
of the information which users post to the site.
Information Control
We do not control the information provided by other users which is made available through the site. You may find other user's information
to be offensive, harmful, inaccurate, or deceptive. Please use caution and common sense when using the site. Please
note that there are also risks of dealing with underage persons or people acting under false pretences. By using this site, you agree to
accept such risks and agree that TipsterKing is not responsible for the acts or omissions of users on the site.
Fraud
Without limiting any other remedies, we may suspend or terminate your account if we suspect that you have engaged or are about to engage in,
or have been in any way involved in or linked to, fraudulent activity in connection with the site.
Cheating & Manipulation
You must not manipulate the information provided for user's on the site. Any cheating will mean ineligibility for the prize money and potentially cancellation
of your account. Individual tips may be voided or marked as losers at our discretion irrespective of the
result. An account suspended for cheating will not be eligible for any prize money and entry monies cannot be refunded.
Without limitation, you must not:
(a) run multiple accounts; (b) place tips after the event; (c) involve yourself in any other activity deemed to be unsportsmanlike.
Fees
Registration on TipsterKing is currently free to all users, which entitles you to make tips and compete in the daily competition. You will remain responsible for the costs of accessing our site and any communicating with our users.
We may change this policy at any time, and any change will be effective after the expiry of 14 days following the date of posting the announcement on the site (or such later date as we may notify).
Your Information
"Your Information" is defined as any information you provide to us or other users in relation to the TipsterKing service including
the registration or participation in the competition and
any other content that you post within the site. You are solely responsible for Your Information, and we act as a mere conduit for your
online distribution and publication of Your Information.
Your Information Restrictions
Your Information and your activities on our site must not:
- be false, inaccurate or misleading;
- be offensive or menacing, abusive, defamatory, or in breach of copyright, confidence, privacy or any other rights;
- infringe any third party's copyright, patent, trade mark, trade secret or other proprietary rights or rights of publicity or privacy;
- be in breach of any applicable laws or regulations;
- be obscene, indecent or contain child pornography;
- create liability for us or cause us to lose (in whole or in part) the services of our ISPs or other suppliers;
- link directly or indirectly to or include descriptions of goods or services that: (a) are prohibited under this User Agreement; (b) you do not have a right to link to or include;
- contain any computer viruses, macro viruses, trojan horses, worms or anything else designed to interfere with, interrupt or disrupt the normal operating procedures of a computer or to surreptitiously intercept, access without authority or expropriate any system, data or personal information;
- cause the site to be interrupted, damaged, rendered less efficient or such that the effectiveness or functionality of the site is in any way impaired.
Basic Game-play
Your objective
is to accumulate the most points during the month by making virtual bets
("tips"). Which events form part of the competition and the timing
of their availability is at the discretion of TipsterKing. Typically we will
aim to include all UK race meetings, for the current and the following day.
All tips made are final and cannot be removed or edited.
The points are allocated as follows, with no exceptions:
Points for a winning selection will be awarded as follows:
- 15pts for any selection winning at 5/1 or above
- 10pts for any selection winning at between 11/10 and 5/1
- 5pts for any selection winning at evens or odds-on
- 3pts for any selection placed 2nd or 3rd at 5/1 or above
- 2pts for any selection placed 2nd or 3rd at between 11/10 and 5/1
- 1pts for any selection placed 2nd or 3rd at evens or odds-on
Points for a losing selection will be deducted as follows:
- 5pts deducted for any selection losing at evens or odds-on
- 3pts deducted for any selection losing at between 11/10 and 5/1
- 1pts deducted for any selection losing at 5/1 or above
In the event of a non-running selection, the nett points result for that tip will be zero.
The daily tips and resulting
points are calculated at the end of each day. The allocated points are based on the odds that are displayed on the site.
These odds are indicative of the actual early prices and will not be affected or modified by live market events. No other odds will be
considered with regards to the allocation points. Please note that no odds adjustments will be made if a specific race has non-running declarations.
Tips are void if race is not run or there is no official result - this will
result in a nett points result of zero for tips placed on the race. From time to time results may be processed inaccurately. Where this happens
we will do our best to correct such errors when we are made aware of them, but
we regret that we cannot always guarantee that this will be possible. If you feel that a tip has been processed incorrectly please report this to
us. All complaints must include
1) the exact details of your tip
2) a link to a reputable source for the correct result
Be sure to verify your claims carefully as we reserve the right to disqualify
you from the current months competition prizes for making incorrect claims.
Prizes
Tipsters are entitled to prizes based on their leaderboard position at the end
of each competition day. Their leaderboard position is determined firstly by
their points score and secondly by the number of winning selections. There is
no guarantee to the value of prizes awarded. The prizes are in the form of free
bets applied to a Coral betting account. The allocation of free bet prizes is
at the discretion of TipsterKing and Coral. Free bet prizes may be withdrawn
at any point. In the event of a deadheat between multiple players, the prizes
will be distributed equally. When a prize has been awarded it will show up under
transactions in 'My Account'. By clicking 'Claim Prize', Coral will be notified
of your eligibility for credit. The timing or eligibility for account credit
from this point on is determined by Coral and not TipsterKing. We reserve the
right to periodically change the allocation of prize money.
Cheating
Any cheating will mean ineligibility for the prizes and potentially cancellation
of your account. This includes running multiple accounts, placing tips after
the event, inflating odds or any other activity we deem unsportsmanlike. Individual
tips may be voided or marked as losers at our discretion irrespective of the
result. An account suspended for cheating will not be eligible for any prize
money and entry monies cannot be refunded.
Disputes and concerns should be emailed to us and we will endeavour to sort
the matter out in the fairest way possible. However our decision is final.
Access and Interference
You agree that you will not use any robot, spider, scraper or other automated means to access the site for any purpose without our express
written permission. Additionally, you agree that you will not:
(i) take any action that imposes, or may impose in our sole discretion an
unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure;
(ii) copy, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, distribute
or publicly display any content (except for Your Information) from the site without the prior expressed written permission of TradeConnection
and the appropriate third party, as applicable; or
(iii) interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the site or any
activities conducted on the site. We do not authorise you to extract or re-utilise substantial parts of our site, or to make systematic and
repeated extractions or re-utilisations of insubstantial parts of our site.
By accepting this User Agreement, you agree that, with respect to other users' personally identifiable information that you obtain through the
site or through a TipsterKing-related communication or TipsterKing-facilitated transaction, you may only use such information for:
(a) TipsterKing-related communications that are not unsolicited commercial messages and relate to your genuine participation in a
TipsterKing-facilitated transaction,
(b) any other purpose that such user expressly agrees to after adequate disclosure of the purpose(s).
In addition, you shall only use such information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation data protection and privacy laws.
In all cases, you must give users an opportunity to remove themselves from your database and a chance to review what information you have collected about them.
In addition, under no circumstances, except as defined in this Section, can you disclose personally identifiable information about another user to any third party
without our consent and the consent of such other user after adequate disclosure. Note that law enforcement personnel and other rights holders are given different
rights with respect to information they access.
TipsterKing and our users do not tolerate spam or unsolicited commercial communications. Therefore, without limiting the foregoing, you shall
not add a TipsterKing user, even a user who has completed a transaction with you, to your mail list (email or physical mail) without their
express written consent after adequate disclosure.
Breach
Without limiting our other remedies, we may limit your activity on the site, immediately issue a warning, suspend or terminate your user
registration or any of your project listings and refuse to provide our services to you without notice to you:
(a) if you breach this User Agreement or the documents incorporated by reference;
(b) if, despite our reasonable endeavours, we are unable to verify or authenticate any information you provide to us; or
(c) if we believe that your actions may cause us financial loss or legal liability.
No Warranty
We (and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents and employees) do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted or secure
access to our services, and operation of the site may be interfered with by numerous factors outside of our control. Our website and our
services are provided "as is" and as and when available, and to the extent permissible by law we exclude all implied warranties,
conditions or other terms, whether implied by statute or otherwise, including without limitation any terms as to skill and care or timeliness
of performance. Some jurisdictions do not allow the disclaimer of implied warranties, so the foregoing disclaimer may not apply to you.
Limitation of Liability
Nothing in this User Agreement shall limit or exclude our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury resulting
from our negligence or the negligence of our, agents or employees. Subject to the foregoing, we (including our parent, subsidiaries,
affiliates, officers, directors, agents and employees) will not be liable for any economic losses (including, without limitation, loss of
revenues, profits, contracts, business or anticipated savings), any loss of goodwill or reputation, or any special, indirect or consequential
damages (however arising, including negligence) arising out of or in connection with this User Agreement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the
exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.
We (including our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents and employees) also have no liability of any sort
(including liability for negligence) for the acts or omissions of other providers of telecommunications services or for faults in or failures
of their networks and equipment.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us and (as applicable) our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents, and employees,
harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your breach of this
User Agreement (including the documents incorporated by reference), or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
Other Terms
Any account set up which does not place any tips for over 6 months,
or where the contact email is invalid may be eligible for deletion. This will result in all account information including tip history being deleted
Rules are subject to change at our discretion. Updates will be posted on this
page.
By taking part in the competition you agree to the rules and terms above.
